The coach who achieved the most number of wins (172) in the history of Crvena zvezda Telekom insisted on staying in the red and white crew, despite the fact that several foreign clubs showed interest to hire him.
Dejan Radonjić became the head coach of Crvena zvezda Telekom back in April 2013. Until this day he has won 2 ABA league championships, 2 Serbian Championships and 2 Serbian National Cups, while he has also led the team into the Eurocup semifinals and into the Euroleague quarterfinals.

Crveno-beli su dobili prvo pojačanje za novu sezonu - trener KK Crvena zvezda Telekom Dejan Radonjić ostaje na klupi šampiona ABA lige i u takmičarskoj 2016/2017 u skladu sa ugovorom koji ima sa klubom.
Trener sa najviše pobeda u dosadašnjoj istoriji kluba sa Malog Kalemegdana insistirao je na ostanku u Beogradu, i pored interesovanja pojedinih klubova iz inostranstva.
Dejan Radonjić je prvi tim KK Crvena zvezda Telekom preuzeo u aprilu 2013. godine. Do danas je osim rekordnog broja pobeda, osvojio i dve ABA i KLS lige, dva kupa, a sa crveno-belima je stizao i do polufinala Evrokupa, i četvrtfinala Evrolige.
