Croatia and Serbia won and reached the semi-finals of Olympic Qualifying Tournaments

Both Croatia and Serbia have achieved victories at the Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in Turin and Belgrade and both will now enter the Semi-finals of the tournaments. Croatia will play against Greece while Serbia will face the Czech Republic.

Croatia have won the second place in Group B at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Turin by outplaying their rival in the decisive game for the second place Tunisia with the final score of 72:62. The game was not as one-sided as the final score would suggest, as the margin between the two teams was only five points as the half time siren went on.

However, in the second half Croatia increased their gear, won the second half by 15 points and made it a 20-point game at the end (72:52). Bojan Bogdanović was once again the top scorer of Croatia with 25 points, while Dario šarić followed him with 11.

Serbia did not have many problems with obtaining the first place in the Group A of the Belgrade Olympic Qualifying Tournament, after previously having beaten Puerto Rico on the opening day. Aleksandar Đorđević's squad have proven determination to prevail over Angola since the very beginning of the game and their desire and excellent performance lasted until the end.

At half time the home side led by 9 points (47:38), after 3 quarters by 18 and the final score was deservedly high in Serbia's favour (83:60). Nikola Jokić was the top scorer of Serbia national team with 17 points, while Miroslav Raduljica had 13 on his account.

In the Semi-final stages of the tournaments, Croatia will face the winner of Group A Greece in Turin, while Serbia will play against the second-placed team from Belgrade tournament Group B , the Czech Republic.
