Mornar start their preparations

Players and the whole coaching staff of Mornar gathered in the Topolica Sports Hall, where their head coach Đorđije Pavićević has presented them their plans and ambitions for the forthcoming season.

"This time last season we have announced only one goal - to reach the ABA League. We have managed to exceed the plan since we have, except for the fact that we have gotten a spot in the league, played in all three finals - in the domestic championship, domestic cup competition and the Balkan League. Now as well we only have one goal - to avoid releagation from the ABA League. We will provide you the best possible practicing conditions and your task will be to show your best possible game during the matches,” Pavićević told to the gathered players: B. Radunović, Mijović, Ćalić, Mugoša, Hadžibegović, Krstić, Vujošević, M. Radunović, as well as Todorović from Sutjeska, who is on a tryout at Mornar.

Amongst the gathered players there was also Kandić, former Mornar player that will practice with his former teammates until he moves abroad.

Pavićević specially welcomed the newcomer Nemanja Krstić, former Serbia national team member. He told that there is a possibility for some additional players to arrive on a tryout, as well as that there is a possibility of strengthening the coaching staff.

Mornar head coach announced that the team will get ready for strainous season in both Montenegro and Serbia and that a possibility of spending a part of preparation period in France exists as well.

It is expected that four American players, members of the ABA League side of Bar, would join the team in the forthcoming several days. Jones and Waller should join in two days, while Dickerson and Ellis are expected to do so at the beginning of next week.

The medical examinations of the players have already began, while the training camp will officially start on Wednesday in Topolica Sports Hall, when President of the club dr. Igor Lukšić will greet the players personally.

Barani kreću sa pripremama

Košarkaši i kompletan stručni štab Mornara okupili su se u prostorijama kluba u SD Topolica, gde im je trener Đorđije Pavićević predstavio planove i ambicije u novoj sezoni.

„Prošle godine u ovo vreme saopštili smo da imamo samo jedan cilj - plasman u ABA ligu. Uspeli smo da nadmašimo plan, jer smo, uz to što smo postali ABA ligaši, igrali u sva tri finala - u domaćem prvenstvu i kupu, kao i u Balkanskoj ligi. Sada imamo, takođe, samo jedan cilj - opstanak u ABA ligi. Mi ćemo vam omogućiti da trenirate u optimalnim uslovima, a na vama je da se pokažete u najboljem svetlu na utakmicama," kazao je Pavićević okupljenim igračima: B. Radunoviću, Mijoviću, Ćaliću, Mugoši, Hadžibegoviću, Krstiću, zatim Vujoševiću, M. Radunoviću, kao i Todoroviću iz Sutjeske koji je na probi u Mornaru.

Među igračima je bio i Kandić, nekadašnji igrač Mornara koji će trenirati sa svojim bivšim saigračima do odlaska u inostranstvo. Pavićević je posebnu dobrodošlicu poželeo novajliji Nemanji Krstiću, nekadašnjem reprezentativcu Srbije. Istakao je i da postoji mogućnost da još neki igrači dođu na probu, kao i da se pojača stručni štab.

Trener Mornara je najavio da će se ekipa za veoma napornu sezonu pripremati u Crnoj Gori i Srbiji, a nagovestio je i mogućnost odlaska u Francusku.

Očekuje se da će se u narednih nekoliko dana ekipi pridružti četvorica barskih Amerikanaca. Džouns i Voler učiniće to za dva dana, a početkom naredne sedmice i novajlije Dikerson i Elis.
