It's time for FIBA U16 Eurobasket, BiH defending gold medal

The 2016 FIBA U16 Eurobasket will be the 30th edition of the European Under-16 Basketball Championship. It is scheduled to begin on August 12 and to end on August 20, while the host city will be Radom, Poland. Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the defending champions.

The 2016 FIBA U16 Eurobasket will be the 30th edition of the European Under-16 Basketball Championship. It is scheduled to begin on August 12 and to end on August 20, while the host city will be Radom, Poland. Bosnia and Herzegovina will be the defending champions.

Another FIBA U16 Eurobasket is on its way, with 16 teams trying to win the prestigious trophy. They will be allocated into 4 groups, so the 1st phase of the competition will look like this.

A Group: Italy, Spain, Sweden, Latvia.

B Group: Germany, Turkey, Poland, Croatia.

C Group: Lithuania, France, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

D Group: Greece, Serbia, Estonia, Finland.

All 4 teams from each group will advance into the Knockout stage.

Bosnia and Herzegovina are the defending champions as they won the gold medal at the 2015 FIBA European Championship.

At the same time we will have the FIBA 2016 European Championship Division B taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria (August 11-20). Speaking about the teams from this region, Macedonia will play in Group A, together with Ireland, Israel, Hungary, Scotland and England, while Slovenia will start competition from Group C, alongside Norway, Romania, Austria, Kosovo and Ukraine.
