Serbia confirm Quarter-finals with a convincing display against China

Serbia have reached the Quarter-finals of the Olympic Basketball Tournament in Rio de Janeiro and they did it in style - by outplaying China in the decisive game for the last ticket for the Top 8 of the World!

Serbia have secured themselves a place in the Olympics" Top 8 and they did it by rolling over China, the direct competitor for a spot in the Quarter-finals. Since the very beginning Aleksandar Đorđević"s men did not allow any doubts about the final outcome and in the end they deservedly celebrated.

Already at half time, the Eagles were up by 15 points and just when the teams have stepped up from the locker rooms and the Chinese players wished to make the final push, which coul have helped them to turn the game around in their favour - Serbia demolished them completely, by winning the third quarter alone by 20 points. The only remaining question for the last quarter was the question of the final margin and it was 34 points!

The final result of the game is 94:60 and Bogdan Bogdanović led the way in scoring for Serbia with 19 points, while Nikola Kalinić followed him with 15.
