Slovenia have concluded their EuroBasket 2017 Qualifiers campaign victoriously. On the other hand, Macedonia were defeated on the road in Hungary, while Montenegro lost at home to Georgia.

In their last game of the EuroBasket 2017 Qualifiers, Slovenia reached their sixth win in just as many games to beat Ukraine on the road in Kiev Sports Palace. The side led by Igor Kokoškov from the bench did the majority of the job in second and fourth quarters, when they were better with 27:19 (2nd) and 27:14 (4th). The final score was convincing in favour of the guests, as the scoreboard said 80:69. Goran Dragić was the top scorer of Slovenia with 22 points poured in, while Klemen Prepelič and Alen Omić scored 15 each.

Montenegro lost the last game of the Qualifiers at home in Bar and the first game that they lost in this campaign cost them the first place in Group F, which was occupied in the end by Georgia, which had the same number of victories, but a better point difference in the games against Montenegro than their rivals. The final score in Bar was 90:84 for Georgia, with Vučević, Đurišić and Dubljević heading the scorers’ list with 17 points scored each.

Macedonia ended the Qualifiers with 4th defeat and they have suffered it on the road in Szolnok against the winner of Group G Hungary. Macedonia did start the game in an excellent fashion, leading by 7 points after 10 minutes and by 5 after 20. However, in the second half the hosts managed to turn the score around, all until the final result of 63:61. Former MZT Skopje Aerodrom player Aleksandar Kostoski scored 18 points to lead the way for the guests.
