EL: Jenkins and Kuzmić heroes of Zvezda's big win over Fenerbahce

Crvena zvezda have scored yet another big triumph in the EuroLeague, as they have beaten the finalists of last season Fenerbahce Istanbul at home in Aleksandar Nikolić Hall, Belgrade. Jenkins scored the game winner, while Kuzmić secured the rim on the guests’ last possession.

Belgrade celebrates another huge victory of the red and white team, as Dejan Radonjić’s squad are continuing their fairy-tale this season in the EuroLeague. Afer they have previously beaten all three last champions of the competition, they have now knocked down also the other of the two finalists of the last season – Fenerbahce of Istanbul.

It has been anybody’s game almost throughout the 40 minutes, even though Zvezda have pulled away to 8 points of advantage in the beginning of the second half, but quickly allowed Fenerbahce to cut the deficit and even come in front.

The game was decided literally in the dying seconds, as Charles Jenkins scored for two points from mid-range and set the final score of 75:73 with only 14 seconds left on the clock. Fenerbahce had the last possession, but it was Ognjen Kuzmić who blocked Udoh’s lay’up attempt and the two points remained at home.

Ognjen Kuzmić was also the top scorer of the red and white with 21 points, while Charles Jenkins added 14.
