EC: Tough defeat for Cedevita in Berlin

Cedevita continue to wait for their first EuroCup Top 16 win after three games played, since Veljko Mršić’s squad are returning empty handed from Berlin after the game against Alba.

Cedevita continue to wait for their first EuroCup Top 16 win after three games played, since Veljko Mršić’s squad are returning empty handed from Berlin after the game against Alba.

It has not been such an one-sided encounter as one would predict from the final score (93:76 in favour of the home side). Cedevita have began the game determined to win a first pair of points in the second stage of the competition and led by 7 points after first quarter.

However, already in the second quarter the Germans have turned the game around and left to the break with four points of advantage (42:38). In the second half, or even better to say in the final quarter, the home side confirmed their win by extending the margin to the final number of 17.

For Cedevita Luka Babić was the top scorer with 22 points, while Ryan Boatright added 15.
