ANGT: Perfect start - Cibona down Bayern
U18 Cibona defeated U18 Bayern Munich in the opening round of the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Qualifying Tournament in Coin, Spain.
Perfect start for the young Wolves! Cibona wrote down an important win in the 1st round of the Euroleague Basketball Adidas Next Generation Qualifying Tournament by beating Bayern Munich.
Cibona had a double-digit lead at the halftime - 38:28, however Bayern Munich performed a major comeback in the 3rd quarter, which the German side won by 20:9, and took over the lead - 48:47.
Bayern Munich had +4 (66:62) with minute and a half left on the game clock, when young Dino Bistrović stepped up for Cibona. He firstly scored two free throws to reduce to margin to 66:64, while on 11 seconds before the end this player made a 3-pointer and Cibona were once again in front - 67:66! Bistrović then used the turnover of his rivals to take the possession of the ball and he got fouled once again. This time he made one free-throw for 68:66.
Finally, Bayern Munich squad made another turnover, while Antonio Jularić made two free-throws on the other end for the final score - 70:66 for Cibona.
