In the opening round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers Bosnia & Herzegovina, Serbia and Slovenia scored valuable wins, while Montenegro and Croatia suffered defeats.

Bosnia & Herzegovina pulled off a major upset by beating Russia in Sarajevo! And guess who was the top scorer in the winning side? It was 18-year old Cedevita wonderkid Džanan Musa, who made 18 points for Bosnia & Herzegovina this night.

Despite playing without their star players, Serbia had no troubles in scoring a win against Austria in Belgrade. Ivan Paunić shined with 16 points, while Miroslav Raduljica and Marko Simonović followed with 15 points each.

The reigning European champions have picked up where they left off couple of months ago. Slovenia defeated Belarus at home court and therefore extended their amazing winning streak. Mega Bemax youngster Vlatko Čančar was leading Slovenian troops this evening as he was the team top scorer with 20 points.

Unfortunately, Montenegro and Croatia suffered defeats at the start of 2019 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers. Montenegro got defeated by Spain at home, while Croatia suffered a road defeat against Netherlands.
