Mornar continue battling for Playoffs after beating Mega Bemax

Mornar have beaten Mega Bemax in the opening game of the Saturday's ABA League programme. They have scored their seventh win of the season and remain strong on their chances to reach the Playoffs!

Game recap: In the one of the first two games of the Saturday’s ABA League programme, Mornar have defeated Mega Bemax at home in Topolica Sports Hall. This is the seventh triumph for the Bar side in the ABA League this season, which means that they will continue sharing the fourth place in the standings after this round and that their chances of reaching the Playoffs at the end of the regular season. On the other side, Mega Bemax remain with four wins only and will continue being placed only a win away from the bottom of the standings.

Key moments: Mornar have turned the game in their favour in the third quarter, which they have entered with a 3-point deficit, and they have already held an 8-point advantage (67:59) in the 27th minute. In the remainder of the game, their lead way minimal, but they had the advantage throughout the remaining minutes. Mega never managed to turn things around until the end.

Man of the match: There can only be one name! Derek Needham scored 36 points (7/11 for 3), while adding 6 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal to his stats. His valuation was 29 and he is our man of the match.

Can’t trick the stats: Mornar were dominant in three-pointers as they were shooting them 43.5% (10/23), while Mega Bemax were shooting them 31.8% (7/22). That’s what pushed the game their way!
