Average attendance rises over 2,500 for the second time in history
Another season in the ABA League is over and it is time to analyse the attendance figures of the 2017/18 ABA League games. Nearly 400,000 fans visited the ABA League arenas during the season and the average attendance passed the milestone of 2,500 fans per game for the second time.

The new ABA League format featuring 12 strongest clubs of the region proved to be a move in the right direction when it comes to attendance in the ABA League games. With 49 games (26%) less than a season before, the total attendance was lower by less than 30,000 fans (8%) and the average attendance has risen from 2046 in the 2016/17 season to 2547 in the 2017/18 season, which represents a 24.5% increase compared to the season before.
The average attendance in the ABA League games for the 2017/18 season is the second highest in the regional league’s history, after the 2012/13 season (2723).
Just like the season before, Partizan NIS were the team with the highest home games attendance (4591 fans per game), followed by Crvena zvezda mts (4416) and Zadar (4341). However, it’s worth mentioning that Zvezda jumped ahead of Zadar thanks to their Playoffs games, with Zadar taking the second place after the regular season.
Away from home, Crvena zvezda mts turned out to be the greatest magnet for the fans, averaging 3800 fans in their away games. Partizan NIS followed with 3041 and Cedevita was third with 2940.
