EUROCUP: Budućnost and Olimpija victorious at the start

ABA League clubs could not have dreamed a better opening of Eurocup! Both Budućnost VOLI and Union Olimpija scored wins at the start of the competition.

Budućnost VOLI hosted Banvit, a well known Turkish team that created a pretty good roster for this season. But, the visitors were no match to the boys in blue! With Tadija Dragićević and Suad šehović on fire, and with a great role of Bojan Subotić, Budućnost VOLI dominated the match and scored a convincing win.

It was much more exciting in Ljubljana where Union Olimpija played against Dolomiti Energia Trento. The Dragons were in front by 98:97, but Zach Wright missed two free-throws just 20 seconds before the end and made things really complicated for his team.

Italians had the ball and a chance to score a winning basket. Filippo Baldi Rossi made a great feint, tricked his rival and stayed all alone for a long range two-pointer... He missed at the buzzer and the win went to Union Olimpija.
