World Cup Qualifiers: Serbia score a thrilling away win; Russia too strong for BiH

Serbia has a new young hero. His name is Aleksa Avramović.

After suffering a painful defeat against Germany couple of days ago, Serbia have managed to bounce back by scoring a thrilling away win against Austria in the 4th round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers.

And the Serbian national team have got a new young hero as 23-year old Aleksa Avramović was the man who brought this valuable win to the reigning vice-champions of the world. Avramović knocked down a stunning 3-pointer on 23 seconds before the end of the match, which has put Serbia in front - 82:81. In the remaning time, Austrian players missed two wide open shots and failed to take over the lead.

Bosnia & Herzegovina suffered their 2nd defeat against Russia in the 2019 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers. Although they played quite a good 1st half after which they were behind just by 4 points - 36:32, BiH squad lost the 3rd quarter by 21:6 and therefore lost all the chances of making a major upset in Russia.
