2018/19 ABA League Teams – Krka

“It's not how many times you get knocked down that count, it's how many times you get back up,” is the famous quote used in sport which perfectly describes the life of Krka in the past two years.

After many years of playing in ABA 1, Krka faced quite a shock in 2016 when they finished the season as the last placed team on the standings and got relegated to ABA 2. However, they were not absent from the elite competition for too long. Krka won the ABA 2 title last season and therefore won the promotion to ABA 1 where they will once again join the best teams in the region.

And, they haven't made a lot of changes in their roster during the summer.

By extending cooperation with head coach Simon Petrov and with some of their best players from the previous season, including Marko Jošilo, Domen Bratož, Dino Cinac and Paolo Marinelli, the squad from Novo mesto have kept the winning mentality. On top of that, the club signed Jure Lalić, Luka Lapornik and Jure Balažić, three very experienced players who had already played for Krka in the past, so they won’t need much time to fit in.
