World Cup Qualifiers: Serbia and BiH suffered defeats

Unfortunately, two national teams from our region suffered defeats at the start of the Second Round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.

Unfortunately, two national teams from our region suffered defeats at the start of the Second Round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.

Bosnia & Herzegovina got defeated by Finland on the road, after a thrilling ending. BiH squad were down by 21 points in front of the last quarter, but they had almost made an epic comeback after reducing the gap to just 3 points – 78:81, with 70 seconds left on the game clock. Still, Finland then scored 4 points in a row and secured their lead.

Serbia lost the big battle against Greece in the derby match of Group L. The score was all tied in the 35th minute – 57:57, but in the next 3 minutes Serbia failed to score a single point. Greece used that period to gain the crucial advantage and to get the precious win.
