2018/19 ABA League Teams – Partizan NIS

For a long time Partizan NIS have been the most dominant team in the region. They were playing some top class basketball, while their home court Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall became a mythical place of which even the best European teams were too afraid to talk about. And along that period the famous black & white team have won 6 regional titles, which still makes them the most successful team in the ABA League. However, they won their last championship title 5 years ago...

After achieving that last great success, Partizan NIS have passed through some difficult times and faced some quite painful defeats. Their reign has ended and the black & whites have been trying to get back on the throne ever since. And, now they will have another chance to do it. 

The club management decided to keep Nenad Čanak at the position of head coach, while several important players have remained in the team, including captain Novica Veličković, Bandja Sy, Đorđe Gagić, Vanja Marinković, Aleksandar Aranitović, Marko Pecarski and Strahinja Gavrilović. 

As far as the newcomers are concerned, certainly the biggest name of them all is former Mega Bemax player Rade Zagorac, while the black & whites also signed Aleksej Nikolić, Parcus Paige, Jock Landale and two youngsters Amar Gegić and Uroš Trifunović.

This group of players definitely looks very interesting and their ambitions are quite clear. They want to be the best.
