World Cup Qualifiers: Montenegro victorious

In Monday’s World Cup Qualifiers games, Montengro celebrated home win against Ukraine, while Turkey and Croatia were unfortunately defeated.

Montenegro celebrated an important win over Ukraine in Nikšić, after they have been in front of the opponents throughout the game. They led by 5 points by halftime and protected their lead in the second half. In the end the score was 90:84 in favour of Montenegro, for which Budućnost VOLI star Nikola Ivanović was the top scorer with 30 points.

In Stožice Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia fought until the end to grab a win against Turkey, but unfortunately they failed to do so. Turkey were too strong in the end they have celebrated an 86:77 win. For Slovenia, Anthony Randolph led the way in scoring with 24 points, while Blaž Mesiček of Petrol Olimpija followed him with 14.

In Gdansk, Croatia failed to upset the hosts of Poland, after they failed to protect their first half lead (5 points) in the second part of the game. The final score was 79:74 in favour of the hosts. For Croatia, Bogdan Bogdanović scored 22 points and Dario Šarić had 17.
