This was not a good day for the national teams from our region.

Serbia suffered road defeat against Israel in the Second Round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers.

The hero of the winning team was young point guard Tamir Blatt. He firstly scored a 3-pointer for 77:74, on 2:20 before the end, then he made a steal and dished a perfect pass to Yovel Zoosman who scored a 2-pointer and 1 for 80:74. Just couple of moments later, Blatt made another steal and prevented Serbia of even thinking about some miraculous comeback in the last minute.

The good thing is that Serbia remained at the 3rd position in Group L, despite this defeat.

Later this Friday evening, Bosnia & Herzegovina was defeated by Bulgaria on the road and remained at the bottom of Group K. The hosts gained the crucial lead during the 3rd quarter which they won by 27:16.
