Despite playing really well on the tough away court in Kaunas, the reigning ABA League champions still suffered defeat in the clash against the Lithuanian powerhouse. Zalgiris - Budućnost VOLI 84:76.
The Blue side had a 2-point lead in front of the last quarter - 60:62, and a 3-point lead with 7-and-a-half minutes before the end - 64:67. However, then Zalgiris made the crucial 8:0 run and went ahead 72:67. The home team have successfully kept their lead until the end.
Norris Cole was far the best scorer in Budućnost VOLI squad as he finished the match with 26 points.
