Domestic Leagues: Primorska became champions, Cibona lead 2:0

Sixt Primorska are celebrating their first Slovenian National Championship trophy, after they have swept the series against Petrol Olimpija 3:0 in victories. In Croatia, Cibona are 2:0 up against Cedevita in the Finals.

Slovenia has new basketball national champions, as Sixt Primorska have beaten Petrol Olimpija in Game 3 of the Finals and have therefore celebrated 3:0 in the Finals. This is the first ever Slovenian National Championship trophy for the Koper Squad, and their fourth trophy of the season, after previously having won the ABA League 2, Slovenian Super Cup and Slovenian National Cup trophies. On the way to the Finals, Primorska have previously eliminated Zlatorog in the Quarter-finals and Krka in the Semi-finals.

It has been a close game all until the halftime, when Sixt Primorska were up by 3 points. In the second half, the hosts have pulled away and reached a double-digit lead. Petrol Olimpija fought back in the final minutes, but fell short in their aim to get away with a win. The final score was 68:63 in favour of Sixt Primorska, for which Marijan Čakarun led the way in scoring with 16 points, while Roko Badžim was the most efficient at the side of Petrol Olimpija with just as many points scored.

In Croatian National Championship Finals, Cibona now lead 2:0 in victories, after they have once again beaten Cedevita at home court in Dražen Petrović Arena. Cibona were up by 4 points after the first half, by 7 points after 30 minutes and continued to cruise calmly all until the final score of 90:82 in the end. Marko Ljubičić was the top scorer of Cibona with 18 points, while Justin Cobbs had 24 points for Cedevita.
