Krka’s preseason is on

Krka players have started with their training camp for the new season. Head coach Simon Petrov has gathered the players in the Leon Štukelj Sports Hall.

Jure Balažić, Žiga Fifolt, Dalibor Đapa, Miha Škedelj, Jakov Stipaničev, Leon Stergar, Luka Lapornik, Martin Jančar Jarc, Marko Jošilo, Paolo Marinelli, Glenn Cosey, Ivan Ramljak, Tim Osolnik, Luka Medved and Imran Polutak were present at the opening practice. Gani Lawal will join the team next week.

The team was initially greeted and addressed by Krka president Andraž Šuštarič. who wished the players a successful season. “I believe that our team would be more tactically clever team than last season. The guys have learnt a couple of things,” Simon Petrov is looking forward to what he believes that would be a successful season. Petrov will be assisted by Dalibor Damjanović and Matic Šiška, while Matej Gliha would remain the fitness coach.

Jure Balažić will reain captain. Even though he already stopped counting his seasons, he feels great and he does not lack motive. “There is no better job for me, this is pure pleasure," Balaić told and added: “Last season was not a successful one, but we suffered several close defeats. If we won those, it would be quite different, especially in the ABA League. This season we have got three high-quality foreign players, for which I believe that would be an added value. Our appetites are therefore higher,” Balažić adds.

The team will undergo preparations in Novo mesto and afterwards it will play several preparation games. On 6 September they will face Fortitudo in Trieste, on 14 September they will be hosting Enisey, on 18 September they will be facing Igokea in Laktaši and afterwards two games at the Sarajevo tournament follow (20 an 21 September). Nymburk will be the opponents in Zreče on 26 September.

Krka začela s pripravami na novo sezono

Košarkarji Krke so začeli s pripravami na novo sezono.

Na prvem treningu so bili prisotni Jure Balažić, Žiga Fifolt, Dalibor Đapa, Miha Škedelj, Jakov Stipaničev, Leon Stergar, Luka Lapornik, Martin Jančar Jarc, Marko Jošilo, Paolo Marinelli, Glenn Cosey, Ivan Ramljak, Tim Osolnik, Luka Medved in Imran Polutak.
