2019/20 ABA League teams – Crvena zvezda mts

Crvena zvezda mts are entering the new season with the title of the reigning ABA League champions. Four months ago the red & whites defeated Budućnost VOLI in a thrilling 5-game final series to win their 4^th regional title. The new heroes were born and the club management knew how to reward the generation that brought the regional trophy back to Belgrade.

Crvena zvezda mts kept 11 players from the last season’s team and they gave full support to the head coach Milan Tomić to continue with his work. Team captain Branko Lazić, 2019 ABA Playoffs MVP Billy Baron, then Stratos Perperoglou, Filip Čović, Mouhammad Faye, Dejan Davidovac, Ognjen Dobrić, Stratos Perperoglou, Michael Ojo, Boriša Simanić and Nemanja Nenadić will still be wearing the red & white colors.

The fact that so many members of the last season’s team have remained in the squad is probably the best thing that has happened to the red & whites over the summer. Simply, the players know each other, they have already proved that they can cope with the pressure and the fans love them. Those things should be very important for Crvena zvezda mts in the following season.

On top of that the Belgrade giant has made some major signings. Charles Jenkins, Ognjen Kuzmić and Nikola Jovanović have returned to the club, Lorenzo Brown has come from the NCAA, while the two biggest names who arrived in the club this summer are James Gist and Derrick Brown.

Crvena zvezda mts have indeed formed a very strong team, which means that they will have just one and only goal in the following season. To win the ABA championship once again.
