2019/20 ABA League teams – FMP
The Panthers are young and ambitious. And they are hungry for success.
2019/20 FMP
FMP had quite a good last season, as they finished at the 6th place in the 2018/19 ABA League. But the two-time regional champions always want more. That is why they have formed a young and ambitious team, with a clear goal to be better than in the previous season.
The club management has done a pretty god job over the summer, as most of the last-season players have remained in the team. But, before start talking about the players we must mention that the team head coach is still Vladimir Jovanović and the next season will be his 3rd to lead the Panthers.
Jovanović will be able to count on 9 players from the past season, including the two team top scorers Stefan Pot and Marko Jeremić, as well as Stefan Đorđević, Stefan Momirov, Aleksa Uskoković, Marko Radovanović, Radoš Šešlija, Duop Reath and Jovan Vojinović.
FMP have also made some important signings. Aleksa Radanov and Marko Tejić have returned to the club and will certainly bring some winning mentality into the team as these two players had already won ABA League championship in the past. Then, the Panthers penned a deal with Ilija Đoković, who was one of the assist leaders in the previous ABA 2 season, and they signed excellent Turkish forward Okben Ulubay. Finally, they also inked a contract with extremely talented 18-year old power forward Nemanja Popović.
These new Panthers are hungry for success and they will be a tough nut to crack for any ABA League side. Can they go above the 6th place in the following season? We will find out in the months to follow.
