Story of the game: In the last match of Round 3, Budućnost VOLI will host Koper Primorska on Sunday evening. These two teams will face each other for the first time ever in ABA League, while each side had a lot of things going on in the last seven days.
Last weekend Budućnost VOLI scored a sweet road win against Crvena zvezda mts and everyone in Podgorica was in celebration mood. However, during the week the Blue squad suffered their 3rd consecutive defeat in EuroCup and the club parted ways with head coach Slobodan Subotić. Therefore, we are now waiting to see what will be the team reaction to everything that has happened over the past week.
On the other side, Koper Primorska made history last weekend, as they scored their first ever win in ABA League by defeating Partizan NIS at home court. It was certainly a big, big moment for this ambitious club, while we are about to see whether the players can repeat that performance this weekend and stun another regional giant.
Match-up in focus: Justin Cobbs did not need much time to become the leader of Budućnost VOLI and he is currently the player with the highest index rating in the Blue team. This weekend 28-year old Cobbs will face a 6-year younger point guard – Žan Mark Šiško – who is the top passer so far in the 2019/20 ABA League regular season.
