EC: Budućnost a step closer to Top 16
In the ninth round of the EuroCup Regular Season, Budućnost VOLI have prevailed over Galatasaray. Cedevita Olimpija and Partizan NIS were defeated.

Budućnost VOLI have written down their third win of the EuroCup season, which keeps their gates of the Top 16 stage of the competition open. At home court of Morača Sports Hall, they have knocked down Galatasaray of Istanbul with the final score of 94:78, after they have been in front throughout the game. For the blue and white, the top scorer this time was Hassan Martin with 24 points, while Scott Bamforth scored 16.
Partizan NIS, which also have a Top16 spot secured, have suffered a defeat on the road in Krasnodar by Lokomotiv Kuban, with the final score of 83:76. The final score is a realistic indicator of the happening on court, as Partizan NIS were down by 8 points already after the first quarter and have remained behind for the majority of the game, even though they have come close several times and threatened that they could take a pair of points back home to Belgrade. For Partizan NIS, the top scorer this time was Stefan Birčević with 17 points, while Corey Walden and Nemanja Gordić added 12 apiece.
On the other side, Cedevita Olimpija have suffered a road defeat in France by Nanterre 92, which takes all chances to reach the Top 16 stage of the competition away from them. And that happened even though Cedevita Olimpija had a fantastic game opening, with a 30:11 lead after first quarter. However, they haven’t managed to keep up the pace until the end of the game and suffered a close defeat with the final score of 90:87. For Cedevita Olimpija, Ryan Boatright led the way in scoring with 22 points, while Codi Miller-McIntyre added 18.
