ABA League Round 14, Sunday, 5.1.2020:

CEDEVITA OLIMPIJA - IGOKEA

Where? Arena Stožice, Ljubljana

Where? 12:00

Story of the game: People are still talking about the clash between Cedevita Olimpija and Igokeea from the 1st part of the 2019/20 ABA League regular season. Back then, Cedevita Olimpija defeated Igokea on the road in double overtime - 95:90! The Dragons have played several other dramatic games after that match in Laktaši and have won all of them, showing to everyone that they are the king of thrillers in this season. So many wins in thrilling games have helped the team to gain a lot of confidence and Cedevita Olimpija are currently placed at the top of the standings with the overall score of 10-3. Still, if they want to finish the regular season at the 1st place they will have to keep winning and that is why the Ljubljana side will be fully motivated to once again prevail over Igokea.

On the other side, Igokea are not really in a good position as they are among the teams with the worst overall score in the league – 3-10. Still, the good news for the team is that they have scored 2 wins in the previous 4 games in the ABA League, which means they are slowly getting into the right rhythm. Their only problem in front of this game is the list of injured players, as Igokea won’t be able to count on Vaidas Kariniauskas, Keenan Evans, Dorell Wright and Marko Tomas in Ljubljana.

Match-up in focus: Each side has some top-class scorers in its roster. Codi Miller-McIntyre and Ryan Boatright will lead Cedevita Olimpija’s offense, while Igokea have some serious firepower in Michael Green and Rashad Vaughn. And each of them is very capable of winning the match for his team single-handedly.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 1:0; In Ljubljana 0:0.
