ABA League Round 18, Monday, 3.2.2020:

CRVENA ZVEZDA MTS - PARTIZAN NIS

Where? Aleksandar Nikolić Hall, Belgrade

Where? 18:00

Story of the game: Well, you can say that the last match of Round 18 will be quite a special one. It’s time for another Belgrade derby. Crvena zvezda mts vs. Partizan NIS!

The two fierce rivals face each other for the 2nd time in this season. In their first clash, Partizan NIS prevailed in Štark Arena by 75:72 and started their climb to the top of the table, which is where are they standing right now. The black & whites are on a 9-game winning streak in the ABA League, while they suffered their last defeat in the regional competition in November last year.

Still, unlike that previous derby that went to Partizan NIS side, this one will be played in a different ambient as this time the whole gym will be painted into red & white. Crvena zvezda mts will have a huge support coming from the stands of Aleksandar Nikolić Hall in the upcoming match and the reigning ABA League champions will try to use it to beat the arch rivals. It is also worth mentioning that Crvena zvezda mts have won the previous 4 games in the championship, while in 3 of them they scored 100+ points.

Match-up in focus: Lorenzo Brown (Crvena zvezda mts) vs. Nemanja Gordić (Partizan NIS). A lot of things in Crvena zvezda mts gameplay depend on Lorenzo Brown and that is why it is very important for the home side to have their starting point guard playing at a high level in the upcoming match. On the other side, Nemanja Gordić has been the X Factor for Partizan NIS in so many games in this season, while he is always extra motivated when playing against Crvena zvezda mts. We are about to see who will win this battle of point guards.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 20:21; At Crvena zvezda mts home court: 11:8.
