Are you interested in the ABA League all-time records? Check out the following article and find out which major stats changes occurred during the last round.

The World of Stats

Marko Tomas (Igokea) made 3 three-pointers in the match against Cibona and has therefore moved in front of Krunoslav Simon to reach the 10th place on the All-Time ABA League 3-Points Leaders list. Tomas has scored 285 three-pointers in his ABA League career, while he needs 9 more three-pointers to tie his score with Jakov Vladović who is currently holding the 9th place on the All-Time ABA League 3-Points Leaders list.

Ivan Ramljak (Krka) made 5 defensive rebounds in the last round and has therefore reached the total number of 694 defensive rebounds in his ABA League career stats. Therefore, Ramljak has moved up to the 9th place on the All-Time Defensive Rebounds Leaders List. Ivan Ramljak has also made progress on the All-Time Offensive Rebounds Leaders list. Ramljak made 3 offensive rebounds last weekend and has reached the total number of 222 offensive rebounds in his ABA League career. Therefore, Ramljak has moved past Drago Pašalić (220 off. rebounds) and has tied with Milan Mačvan (222 off. rebounds) at the 25th place on the All-Time Offensive Rebounds Leaders list. And that is not all. By making 2 blocks in the previous match, Ivan Ramljak moved up to the 13th place on the All-Time ABA League Blocks Leaders list. Ramljak now has 99 blocks in his ABA League career stats.

Dominik Mavra (Zadar) and Vladimir Štimac (Crvena zvezda mts) have played their 100th game in the ABA League last weekend.

Jaka Blažić (Cedevita Olimpija) made 13 defensive rebounds in the match against Budućnost VOLI which is the single-game season record. Looking in the ABA League history books, Blažić’s achievement of 13 defensive rebounds in a single game is not something we haven't seen before, however it is special if we take into account that Jaka Blažić is a shooting guard. Only 1 time in the history of ABA League has a shooting guard made 13 rebounds in a single game. Suad Šehović (Budućnost VOLI) made 13 defensive rebounds on December 21, 2014.

Special mention:

On March 7, 2016, Union Olimpija and Partizan played a historic 4-overtime game, which Union Olimpija won by 118:115 (20:13, 24:22, 14:19, 13:17, 14:14, 9:9, 13:13, 11:8). That is the only 4-overtime game in the history of the ABA League. Union Olimpija players made 56 rebounds (37 defensive rebounds and 19 offensive rebounds), which is the all-time single-game record. Three players played 50+ minutes in this match. Kevin Jones (Partizan) played 55 minutes which is the all-time single-game record, while Jamar Wilson (Partizan) and Sava Lešić (Union Olimpija) played 52 minutes each. Jamar Wilson (Partizan) scored 42 points in this match, while in the history of ABA League only one player had scored more points in a single game – Milan Gurović (45 points).

On March 8, 2011, Mario Kasun (Zagreb) played a “perfect game”. Kasun had 14/14 FG which is still the single-game league record. As Kasun did not shoot any three-pointers in that game, he was 14/14 for 2 points, which is also the all-time league record.

On March 8, 2003, Zadar played against Bosna on the road in Sarajevo. Zadar won that game by 122:88, while those 122 points scored by Zadar is the all-time league record in most points scored in a single game.

On March 11, 2017, Jonah Bolden (FMP) had a perfect shooting night. Bolden was 7/7 for 3 points, which is the all-time single-game record in most number of 3-pointers made without a miss. What  is interesting to mention is that one year later, on March 12, 2018, Dylan Ennis (Crvena zvezda mts) tied this record as he was also 7/7 for 3-points in a single game.
