ABA League Round 6, Wednesday, 30 December 2020:

BUDUĆNOST VOLI - IGOKEA

Where? Morača Sports Hall, Podgorica

When? 19:00

Story of the game: A big game is coming up in Morača on Wednesday night, as Budućnost VOLI will be hosting Igokea in the postponed game of ABA League Round 3 and it is going to be a clash, which could be of vital importance to each of the two teams in their battle to reach the ABA League Playoffs when the season ends.

Both teams are currently going through their excellent ABA League seasons and while Budućnost VOLI have won 8 of their 9 games played so far this season, Igokea have won 9 out of their 11. It is clear therefore, that both of them need to score another win, as they are currently in the middle of the Playoffs race and another win would be valuable as gold to both of them.

Currently, both teams are red hot. Budućnost VOLI have won four of their last five games, while Igokea are on a five games long winning streak. And while Budućnost VOLI have beaten Krka last round, Igokea are entering the clash after a big home win over Crvena zvezda mts.

The outcome is therefore impossible to predict and we need to wait to see which of the two squads can achieve their goal this time.

Match-up in focus: Nikola Ivanović or Anthony Clemmons? The two point guards will be in the limelight this time, as Budućnost VOLI will be hosting Igokea. While Ivanović is currently the second-leading scorer and top passer of Budućnost VOLI, averaging 13.8 points and 5 assists per game, Clemmons is at the moment the second-leading scorer and passer of Igokea, averaging 10.9 points and 3.9 assists per game. Whose star would shine brighter on Wednesday night?

Head to head in the regional league: In total 14:4; In Podgorica 9:0.
