ABA League Round 6, Wednesday, 14 April 2021:

BUDUĆNOST VOLI - IGOKEA

Where? Sports Center Morača, Podgorica

When? 20:00

Story of the game: Another very important match will be played on Wednesday evening. Budućnost VOLI will host Igokea in postponed game of Round 6, while each side will be quite motivated to win the upcoming clash.

Budućnost VOLI have already qualified for the 2021 ABA League Playoffs, but they haven’t secured the top spot yet. If the blue-and-whites win in their two remaining games of the regular season, then they will claim the 1st place regardless of the results of the other teams and that is why the upcoming game is so important for the Podgorica side.

On the other side, Igokea need to score at least one win in their two remaining games in the regular season to definitely seal their spot in the Playoffs. Therefore, if they manage to beat Budućnost VOLI in the upcoming match, they will repeat the success from the 2012/13 season when they qualified for the ABA League Playoffs the last time.

It is important to say that Budućnost VOLI have never lost a home game against Igokea in ABA League. The two sides have met 9 times in Podgorica in the past and Budućnost VOLI have triumphed in each of those 9 games.

Match-up in focus: Nikola Ivanović or Anthony Clemmons? The two point guards will be in the limelight this time, as Budućnost VOLI will be hosting Igokea. While Ivanović is currently the second-leading scorer and top passer of Budućnost VOLI, averaging 13.6 points and 4.6 assists per game, Clemmons is at the moment the top scorer and the top passer of Igokea, averaging 11.3 points and 4.7 assists per game. Whose star would shine brighter on Wednesday night?

Head to head in the regional league: In total 15:4; In Podgorica 9:0.
