ABA League Round 26, Monday, 26 April 2021:

FMP - KRKA

Where? FMP Arena, Belgrade

When? 16:00

Story of the game: In the final round of the 2020/21 ABA League Regular Season, FMP will be hosting Krka at home in FMP Arena in Belgrade.
Both squads will want to end their Regular Season campaign with style, victoriously, but with different competitive motives.

While FMP have escaped the danger zone near the bottom of the ABA League standings in the past couple of games, thanks to their good recent performances, Krka are still fighting to secure that. They need to win this time in order to be calm and not depend on other scores, when battling to avoid the 13 place in the standings, that leads into the ABA League Qualifiers. It is clear that, if Split wins in the final round and Krka loses, Krka would be the team to play the Qualifiers. If Krka wins, these chances cease to exist.

The first time that the two squads have met this season, FMP have won convincingly in Novo mesto. Also, Krka have never ever beaten FMP in the regional competition when playing on the road. Can they break the tradition this time?

Match-up in focus: It’s Filip Čović against Rok Stipčević! Two experienced snipers will meet one another at the combo-guard position and the clash might as well decide the outcome of the game between the two sides. Currently, Filip Čović is second-leading scorer and top passer of FMP with an average of 11.8 points and 6.6 assists achieved per game. On the other side, Rok Stipčević is the top scorer and second-leading passer for Krka, averaging 10.7 points and 2.5 assists per game.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 9:2; In Belgrade 5:0.
