AdmiralBet ABA League Round 26, Sunday, 10 April 2022:
Where? Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall, Belgrade
Story of the game: A very busy AdmiralBet ABA League schedule awaits us this Sunday, while everything will start with the clash between Mega Mozzart and Partizan NIS at noon.
Mega Mozzart are positioned in the middle of the standings with the overall score of 9-15. They have lost all chances of reaching the Playoffs, while at the same time they are far away from the relegation zone as they have already secured their AdmiralBet ABA League status for the next season. Therefore, Mega Mozzart does not face any pressure ahead of the upcoming match, while they might use that situation to try stunning Partizan NIS once this season.
Recall that Mega Mozzart defeated Partizan NIS on the road in the 1st part of the season by 93:90 in one of the most exciting games of the 2021/22 campaign.
On the other side, Partizan NIS (overall score 20-4) have secured one of the top two spots on the table, while we are yet to see whether the black-and-whites will finish the regular season at the 1st or at the 2nd place. In order to claim the top spot, Partizan NIS will have to win both of their remaining two games and to hope that Crvena zvezda mts suffer at least 3 defeats in their 4 remaining games. Therefore, Partizan NIS troops will be quite motivated to finish the regular season with two consecutive wins.
Match-up in focus: Partizan NIS sharp shooter Aleksa Avramović has had some stunning performances lately, scoring plenty of points along the way, while in the upcoming match he will also have to step up defensively for his team as he will guard Mega Mozzart starting point guard Dayshon Scoochie Smith. It was Smith who shocked Partizan NIS in the previous match between these two teams when he scored the game-winning 3-pointer late in the 4th quarter.
Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 3:14; At Mega Mozzart home court 1:7.
