AdmiralBet ABA League Round 6, Friday, 4 November 2022:

SPLIT - CIBONA

Where? Split Sports Hall, Split

When? 20:00

Story of the game: On Friday night, Split will be hosting Cibona at home in their Split Sports Hall in Split.

It is a clash of two squads, that did not have a dream start to the 2022/23 season, but they both have bounced back lately. While Cibona have won the last three games in the regional competition and are currently placed in the upper half of the standings, Split have lost the opening four games of the season, but have afterwards celebrated a win in the Dalmatian derby on the road against red-hot Zadar.

So the question ahead of the local derby is whether will Split or Cibona be the ones that stay on the winning track. Only one can prevail!

Match-up in focus: The AdmiralBet ABA League Top Scorer for the 2021/22 season Shannon Shorter will be facing Sven Smajlagić this time at the shooting guard position. Enough said about Shorter, who is the top scorer of the Dalmatian squad this season as well, with 19 points per game on his record right now, but his rival might be a tough one to outgun this time, as Sven Smajlagić has made his AdmiralBet ABA League debut last round against Borac, when he scored no less than 25 points. Who will come out on top in this head to head battle?

Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 5:15; In Split 3:7.
