CIBONA:
Cibona prvu domaću utakmicu u novoj natjecateljskoj sezoni ABA lige igra protiv Petrol Olimpije u Draženovu domu.
Slobodan Subotić, trener Cibone:
“Očekuje nas prva domaća utakmica ove sezone. Odigrali smo slabu utakmicu protiv Mege i nemamo pravo na propust. Pozivam sve navijače da nas dođu bodriti jer nam je njihova podrška bitna. Znam da nismo pokazali pravu igru u Sremskoj Mitrovici, ali se moramo okrenuti novim utakmicama. Liga je ove godine dosta izjednačena i sve je otvoreno. Moramo biti izuzetno koncentrirani. Očekujem više od naša dva Amerikanca. Prošla utakmica je bila njihova najlošija predstava, izgledali su preplašeno. Nema mjesta panici, ali mislim da je možda bio prisutan neki pritisak ili nepoznavanja uvjeta igranja u ABA ligi. Olimpija je dobra momčad. Drugačija od prošle godine, ali vrijedna štovanja i treba biti maksimalno spreman i koncentriran. Siguran sam da ćemo dati sve od sebe. Napravili smo dobru analizu utakmice protiv Mege i nadam se da se pogreške s prošle utakmice neće ponoviti”.
Marin Rozić, igrač Cibone:
“Stiže nam Olimpija, naš dobro poznati protivnik, rivalstvo koje traje već desetljećima. Nekad u Euroligi, danas u ABA ligi. Utakmice su to koje su uvijek bile zanimljive i pune iznenađenja. Zadržali su neke igrače od prošle sezone, trener je isti, nadogradili su s dva Amerikanca koji su pokazali da su dobri igrači. Momčad koja igra poprilično brzo i igra agresivno obranu. Upisali su prvu pobjedu što je bitno na startu lige. Posljednji put pred našom publikom igrali smo u punoj dvorani, bilo je krcato. Bilo bi lijepo da i sutra bude barem slično tome. Pozivam sve ljubitelje košarke i Cibone da dođu i podrže novu Cibonu. Mogu obećati da ćemo izgledati bolje nego što smo to pokazali protiv Mege.”

PETROL OLIMPIJA:
Petrol Olimpijo v Zagrebu čaka tekma 2. kroga lige ABA. Nasprotnik bo Cibona, ki je v prvem krogu utrpela poraz v Sremski Mitrovici na gostovanju pri Mega Bemaxu 95:88. Ljubljančani so v prvem krogu po podaljšku v Stožicah premagali Igokeo 95:93. Na klopi Cibone, ki ima ambicije po visokih uvrstitvah v Ligi ABA, sedi izkušeni trener Slobodan Subotić, ki je v preteklosti igral za Olimpijo, bil pa je tudi selektor slovenske članske reprezentance.
Gašper Okorn, trener Petrol Olimpije:
"Cibona je ne glede na rezultat prve tekme lige ABA v Sremski Mitrovici, pokazala, da gre za izredno izkušeno zasedbo, ki jo vodi prekaljen in izkušen trener Slobodan Subotić. Glede na to, da so v ekipo dodali še Marka Tomasa, so postali še toliko bolj izkušeni in kvalitetni. Imajo obilico nosilcev igre, ki imajo individualno kvaliteto in izkušnje, zato, če se želimo iz Zagreba vrniti z zmago in presenetiti Cibono na domačem parketu, moramo odigrati predvsem potrpežljivo ter čakati na priložnost za katero verjamem, da se bo pokazala. Takrat se moramo pametno odzvati. Cibona je favorit srečanja, saj igrajo na domačem parketu, ampak to ne pomeni, da v Zagreb odhajamo z belo zastavo."

"Pričakujemo težko tekmo na gostovanju v Zagrebu. Cibona je kvalitetna zasedba, ampak naredili bomo vse v naši moči, da se v Ljubljano vrnemo z zmago. Pripravili smo se na nasprotnika in verjamem, da lahko odigramo dobro srečanje."

Slobodan Subotić, trener Cibone:
„Isto kao protiv Mege loše smo otvorili utakmicu. Primili smo previše laganih koševa na početku. Odlučujuće su bile prve minute treće četvrtine. Brine me obrambeni skok, no asistencije su nam jako dobre. Imamo neosporivo dobru napadačku ekipu. Čestitam momcima, borili su se i htjeli su pobijediti, no prva utakmica kod kuće uvijek je teška.”
Marko Tomas, igrač Cibone:
“Prije svega mislim da smo zasluženo pobijedili, no za veću pobjedu moramo bolje odigrati. U nekim trenucima smo bili premekani, a za gostujuću pobjedu moramo biti mnogo bolji. Kad se čovjek dobro osjeća, koševi su manje bitni. S boljom obranom svi će imati više samopouzdnja i bolje ćemo igrati.”
Gašper Okorn, trener Petrol Olimpije:
”Čestitke Ciboni na zasluženoj pobjedi. Nismo se dovoljno borili, a bez borbe nismo mogli parirati raspoloženoj Ciboni. Nismo bili strpljivi, a obrana je bila veoma loša. Moramo se pribrati i biti bolji u idućoj utakmici.”
Jordan Morgan, igrač Petrol Olimpije:
“Teško je igrati u gostima, pogotovo ako igrate lošu obranu. Napad nije bio loš, no mora nas brinuti obrana. Moramo igrati bolje kao pojedinci, pogotovo jer je Cibona bila jako dobra danas.”
