For the second year in a row, Crvena zvezda Telekom are the champions of Serbia! In a thrilling final series against their arch rivals Partizan NIS, the red and white crew prevailed by 3-1 in wins.

It was indeed a great clash. Crvena zvezda Telekom won the opening two games, however Partizan NIS made a break in Game 3 and had a chance to tie the overall score in front of their fans. The black and whites started well, they had an early +8 lead (14:6), but it did not last for too long.

Zvezda managed to take over the lead until the halftime - 41:39, while then the reigning champions showed what a defense they are capable of playing. In the third quarter, the away side conceded only 9 point and that helped them to escape on a double digit lead - 56:46. They managed to keep the same distance all the way until the half of the last period, but then the red and whites simply stopped!

Crvena zvezda Telekom failed to score a basket in the following 5 minutes, while Partizan NIS approached to 65:63, with only 39 seconds remaining on the clock. The hosts them made a foul on Maik Zirbes...

The German center scored both free throws for 67:63, on the other side Kevin Jones made a two-pointer for 67:65, with 19 seconds on the clock. Partizan NIS had to make another foul... They once again fouled Maik Zirbes.

The big guy from Crvena zvezda Telekom was perfect from the line - 69:65.

Partizan NIS had one final chance to do something in this match, however Novica Veličković missed a three-pointer and it was over. Crvena zvezda Telekom became the champions of Serbia for the second year in a row! The MVP of the final series was Maik Zirbes.
