Union Olimpija and Karpoš Sokoli will participate in the ABA League j.t.d. in the 2016/17 season, the Presidency of the ABA League j.t.d. decided.
Union Olimpija and Karpoš Sokoli will participate in the ABA League j.t.d. in the 2016/17 season, the Presidency of the ABA League j.t.d. decided.
In accordance with the decisions of ABA League j.t.d. Assembly session, that took place on 14 July in Pržno-Budva, taking into account the national coefficient of the 2015/16 season, as well as the results in the domestic championship, Union Olimpija gained the right to participate in the 2016/17 ABA League season and chose to accept it.
At the same time, Karpoš Sokoli have, as the second placed team of the Macedonian National Championship, gained the right to obtain the wild card, that they accepted by fulfilling their financial obligations.
The 2016/17 season will begin on 1 October 2016. The regular part of the competition will end on 11 March 2017. The Playoffs will begin on 18 March, while its end is scheduled for 15 April 2017. You can find the whole 2016/17 schedule HERE.
