Unlucky defeat for Serbia against France

In a tight game until the final moments Serbia unfortunately suffered an unlucky, 1-point defeat against France. Aleksandar Đorđević's squad now have 1 victory after three games played at the tournament.

Olympic Basketball Tournament in Rio de Janeiro started in excellent fashion for Serbia with a win against Venezuela, but eventually it did not continue the same way, as Aleksandar Đorđević and his players were not able to prevent two defeats in a row, first against Australia in the second round and now against France in the third.

Serbia entered the final period of anybody's game with a 3-point advantage and were still ahead by four with less than two minutes remaining on the clock (75:71), but… in the final minute and 50 seconds Serbians did not manage to score a even a point more, while France added five more in their bucket. Tony Parker's jumper with half of a minute remaining was the decisive one, that set the final score of 76:75.

Miroslav Raduljica was the tops scorer of Serbia with 16 points, while Miloš Teodosić and Bogdan Bogdanović added 10 apiece.
