Pierre Jackson is the new member of Cedevita

Cedevita will soon be stronger for another American player, since point guard Pierre Jackson signed with the team from Zagreb. It is an excellent point guard with fantastic shooting abilities, excellent penetration abilities and court vision, which will suit coach Mršić well, taking into account the injury of Ra’shad James.

Pierre Jackson used to play for two Universities. He began at the College of Southern Idaho and later moved to better known Baylor. He had excellent numbers at the University and was one of the candidates for Naismith and Wooden awards, given to the best point guards of the USA.

In 2013 he was selected as a 42nd pick at the NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. However, he never appeared in a single NBA game, even though he used to play for New Orleans, Philadelphia and Portland.

He already has some European experience in his CV, as he was a member of ASVEL and Fenerbahce Ulker before.

Last season (2015/16) he averaged 9.12 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 20.5 minutes, playing for Idaho Stampede.

Košarkaši Cedevite će se uskoro osnažiti još jednim američkim košarkašem jer pristupnicu klubu je potpisao playmaker Pierre Jackson. Riječ je o odličnom razigravaču s vrlo dobrim šutom, prodorom i pregledom igre što će treneru Mršiću dobro doći s obzirom na ozljedu Jamesa.

Pierre Jackson je igrao za dva sveučilišta, prvo za College of Southern Idaho, a kasnije za poznatiji Baylor. Na sveučilištu je bilježio sjajne brojke te je bio u fokusu kandidata za prestižne nagrade Naismith i Wooden za najbolje igrače i playmakere SAD-a.

2013. godine izabran je kao 42. na NBA draftu od strane Philadelphia 76ersa.  Međutim, nikad nije nastupio u NBA utakmici, a u Ljetnim ligama u posljednje četiri sezone igrao je za New Orleans, Philadelphiju i Portland.

Jackson već ima iskustvo igranja u Europi, pošto je već nastupao za ASVEL i Fenerbahce Ulker.

Prošle sezone (2015/2016) je za Idaho Stampede u osam utakmica imao prosjek od 9.12 poena, 2.5 skokova i 2.5 asistencija za 20.5 minuta.
