Buducnost VOLI shocked 5,000 fans in Belgrade after beating Partizan NIS on the road. Marcus Williams is the hero of Blue squad.

Game recap: Budućnost VOLI remained undefeated, Partizan NIS suffered 1st defeat in this season. That is the outcome of the big ABA League derby that was played in front of 5,000 people in Ranko Žeravica Hall, Belgrade. The home fans really created a fantastic atmosphere and tried to help the black & white crew to write down an important win, however in crucial moments Budućnost VOLI players were cool as ice, as they managed to score some very important shots. Finally, everything was decided in the final minutes...

Key moments: With just over a minute reaming on the clock, Partizan NIS were up ahead by 61:58, but then Budućnost VOLI point guard Marcus Williams changed everything. He scored a three-pointer and got fouled in the process, while he completed a 3+1 play by making a free throw - 62:61 for Budućnost VOLI.

Partizan NIS failed to score a basket in the following action, so did Budućnost VOLI afterwars. There were 20 seconds left on the clock and the home team had the ball. It went to the hands of Vanja Marinković, who made that crucial shot against Union Olimpija two weeks before. However, this time Partizan NIS shooting guard missed a three-pointer and the ball ended up in the hands of Marcus Williams. The hero of the visiting team made both free-throws for 64:61, while on the other side Partizan NIS captain Novica Veličković missed a difficult 3pts shot for the overtime.   

Man of the match: Shawn James had the highest index rating in the winning side (17), and he really did a tremendous job for his team this evening, but at the end it was Marcus Williams who brought the win to Budućnost VOLI with that crazy 3+1 play.

Can't trick the stats: Partizan NIS had a lot of troubles to score a three-pointer. They had 25 attempts, but they scored just 3 shots.
