Game recap: What a way to finish the Saturday's ABA League schedule! Karpoš Sokoli and FMP have played perhaps the most thrilling match so far in the 2016/17 season, whiich was eventually ended after overtime. And, Karpoš Sokoli came out as the winners of this dramatic clash and continued their fantastic winning streak at home court. Just to remind you the league newcomers now have 8 consecutive home wins in ABA League!
The only bad thing for Karpoš Sokoli this evening was the injury of Zoran Vrkić. He felt a sharp pain in his left knee after one bad landing and was carried outside the court.
Key moments: After they were up by 15 points in the final moments of the 3rd quarter, Karpoš Sokoli almost spilled everything in the 4th period. FMP entered the last minute with a 4-point lead - 74:70, but then Kenrdrick Perry stepped up for his team and became the hero of the home crowd. The American point guard scored 5 points for his team in the final minute, including the buzzer beater to send this match into overtime - 75:75! In the additional 5 minutes, Karpoš Sokoli played with much more energy than FMP and seized a valuable win - 88:81.
Man of the match: Dragan Labović is a serious pretender for the MVP of the round award. This evening he had 21 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 6 steals, while his overall index rating was 30.
Can't trick the stats: At the end, you can say that the shot made by Kendrick Perry made difference. He kept his team alive and boosted the confidence of his teammates to the maximum level for the overtime.
