2016/17 Top Prospect: Jonah Bolden

Jonah Anthony Bolden of FMP has been selected the 2016/17 ABA League Top Prospect in the voting of the ABA League coaches, fans and the ABA League itself. He won the contest ahead of Vanja Marinković of Partizan NIS and Alpha Kaba of Mega Leks.

It's official - young gun Jonah Anthony Bolden of FMP is the best young player of the season in the ABA League, as won this title in the voting contest of the head coaches of ABA League teams, ABA League fans and the ABA League commission.

The big guy of Belgrade side has finished the voting with a total of 39% combined votes, ahead of Vanja Marinković of Partizan NIS, who had 19.4% and Alpha Kaba of Mega Leks, who finished the voting with 9.32% of combined votes.

Let's mention that Jonah Bolden was on top of the votes in the head coaches' voting, ahead of Vanja Marinković and Alpha Kaba, while in the voting of the fans, Vanja Marinković of Partizan NIS took the first place ahead of Boriša Simanić of Crvena zvezda mts and Jonah Bolden.

For Jonah Bolden this is the first season with FMP and for sure it was a breakout for him. The youngster, that soon became one of the key players of the Belgrade side averaged 12.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1 steal per game, collecting an average valuation of 14.9. He was the fourth rebounder and 17th scorer of the regular season and 15th in the index rankings.
