Partizan NIS will enter the 2017/18 season with a new head coach, as the contract with Aleksandar Džikić was terminated by a mutual agreement.

Džikić arrived in Partizan NIS in the middle of the 2015/16 season and managed to take the team toward the 5th spot in the ABA League, as well as to lead Partizan NIS into the Serbian Cup Finals and into the Serbian Championship Finals.

In the previous season, Džikić helped Partizan NIS to reach the 2016/17 ABA League Semi-Finals and the Playoffs stage of the FIBA Champions League, while in the domestic competitions he led the team toward the Serbian Cup Finals and toward the Serbian Championship Semi-Finals.

Partizan NIS thanked Džikić for everything he has done for the club and wished him all the best in future career. Also, the club emphasized that Humska 1 (Partizan NIS address) and Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall will always be Džikić's home.

U tek završenoj sezoni, Džikić je vodio ekipu do druge faze FIBA Lige šampiona, polufinala ABA j.t.d. lige, polufinala Mozzart Superlige i finala nacionalnog kupa.
