Karpoš Sokoli 2000 AD Skopje receive 5-year ban

According to the decision made by the ABA League Assembly, held on July 24, 2017 in Belgrade, Karpoš Sokoli 2000 AD Skopje have been fined with a 5-year ban from participating in every competition which is organized by the Adriatic Basketball Association.

According to the official ABA League Propositions for the 2016/17 season (Articles 70.3 and 70.4) and due to inappropriate statements given by Karpoš Sokoli 2000 AD Skopje president Ognjen Dedić, which have made a significant damage to the image of ABA League and its sponsors, Karpoš Sokoli 2000 AD Skopje were previously fined by 12.000 Euros.

Considering the decision made at the ABA League Assembly that each participant of the 2016/17 ABA League will receive 12.000 Euros for their transportation costs during the previous season, the fine will be collected from the part that belongs to Karpoš Sokoli 2000 AD Skopje.

Due to the gravity of the violation, the ABA League clubs made the decision at the ABA League Assembly, held on July 24, 2017 in Belgrade, that Karpoš Sokoli 2000 AD Skopje will be additionally fined with a 5-year ban from participating in all competitions which are organized by the Adriatic Basketball Association.
