Thomas Wilson inks 3-year deal with Partizan NIS

Young Australian player is the latest signing of Partizan NIS.

Thomas Wilson has officially joined the black & white family of Partizan NIS. This 20-year old Australian point guard signed a 3-year deal with the Belgrade powerhouse this Thursday, while he will join the team on August 13.

In 2016 Wilson moved from Australia to America to play basketball at college. He firstly played for Southern Methodist University, while then he moved to Boise State University. This summer, he decided to start his pro career, so he left the USA and accepted the call of Partizan NIS.

Wilson played for the U17 Australia national team at the U17 FIBA World Championship 2014. He averaged 12.3 points and 6.6 rebounds per game and helped his team to reach the tournament finals. In the final match he scored 23 points against the USA. One year later, Wilson played at the U19 FIBA World Championship, averaging 6.4 points and 4.4 rebounds along the way.

Mladi Australijanac je novo pojačanje crno-belih.
Dvadesetogodišnji plejmejker Tomas Vilson, novo je pojačanje Partizana NIS. Nekadašnji učenik trenera Lerija Brauna na Sautern metodist univerzitetu (SMU) potpisao je trogodišnji ugovor sa crno-belima i očekuje se da će stići u Beograd 13. avgusta.

Osim na SMU, mladi Australijanac je igrao i za Bojsi Stejt, nakon čega se vratio u domovinu.

Novi košarkaš Partizana je sa reprezentacijom Australije do 17 godina igrao finale Svetskog prvenstva 2014. godina. Na tom šampionatu, Vilson je imao prosek od 12,3 poena i 6,6 skokova, uključujući i 23 poena u meču za zlato protiv Sjedinjenih Američkih Država. Godinu dana kasnije, Tom je sa U19 selekcijom stigao do sedmog mesta na planeti uz prosek od 6,4 poena i 4,4 skoka po meču.
