Cedevita beat FMP in the 1st match of the 2017/18 season

Game recap: This was the very 1st match in the 2017/18 ABA League season and we had an opportunity to watch a very exciting game already at the start of the new championship. Cedevita defeated FMP at home court, but only after making a big comeback! The visitors had a great first quarter as they were up by 20:7 after 7 minutes. However, then Cedevita started playing much better on both ends of the court. The home team managed to level the score already in the 2nd quarter, while they have taken over the lead until the halftime - 39:37. In the second half, Cedevita completely outplayed FMP and scored a well-deserved victory.
Key moments: Cedevita gained the crucial lead in the 3rd quarter, which they won by 22:12. Simply, when they managed to take the lead in the final moments of the first half, the boys in orange jerseys raised their confidence significantly and they used it in the 3rd quarter to increase that lead even more. After the 3rd quarter the score was 61:49 for Cedevita... They had no problems staying in front until the end.
Man of the match: Džanan Musa! You should definitely pay attention to this 18-year old kid in the following season, as he is obviously fired up to make something big. In this match he was the top scorer of Cedevita with 21 points while his overall index rating was 25.
Can't trick the stats: Do you know that by the halftime Cedevita had more offensive rebounds than FMP had defensive rebounds?! The home side dominated in the paint and those offensive rebounds helped them to make a big comeback.
