Game recap: It was not the most spectacular game of all time, but it was a very, very exciting match! Budućnost VOLI have defeated Cedevita in another ABA League thriller. The home team had more concentration in the key moments, while one single shot scored by Nemanja Gordić made difference at the end. Budućnost VOLI have therefore remained all alone at the top of the standings, while Cedevita now share the 3rd spot with Partizan NIS.
Key moments: Firstly, it must be said that Cedevita scored just 1 point in the opening 5 minutes of the last quarter, but the visitors still managed to reduce their deficit to 60:59, with 30 seconds left on the game-clock. And then, Budućnost VOLI point guard Nemanja Gordić stepped up for his team. He played 1-on-1 against Demetris Nichols, scored a 2-pointer and got fouled! Gordić made the free-throw and Budućnost VOLI were up by 4 - 63:59. In the remaining time, the home team had no problems staying in front.
Man of the match: Nemanja Gordić, of course. He was the top scorer of his team with 13 points and he made that game-winning shot in the last minute.
Can't trick the stats: Cedevita made just too many turnovers for such an important match. They had 15 of them this evening...
