Crvena zvezda Telekom U18 squad finished the Euroleague Adidas Next Generation Tournament at the 2nd place, after losing the big finals against U18 FC Barcelona Lassa.

For the second season in a row, U18 Crvena zvezda Telekom are the vice champions of Europe. Last year, the Belgrade crew got defeated by U18 Real Madrid, while this time they had to lay down their weapons in front of U18 FC Barcelona Lassa.

Zvezda had a really bad opening of the big finals as they let their opponents score 33 points just in the first quarter! The red and whites were even down by 18 points at one moment (29:11), but then they made a stunning comeback in the second period. Just out of nowhere, Crvena zvezda Telekom approached to 42:41!!!

However, they just could not take the lead. Zvezda had couple of chances to go in front during the second and the third quarter, but they missed all of them. And, Barcelona knew how to punish those missed opportunities.

With a series of three-pointers in the last 10 minutes, the Spanish giant escaped to a double-digit lead once again. There was simply no time for another comeback.

It is important to mention that this was the third consecutive Euroleague Adidas Next Generation Tournament Finals for Crvena zvezda Telekom. They won the trophy back in 2014, while they finished as second in 2015 and now in 2016.

Adidas Next Generation Tournament, Finals, Sunday, 15.5.2016:

FC BARCELONA LASSA - Crvena zvezda Telekom 90:82 (33:17, 17:29, 20:17, 20:19)
