Partizan NIS better than Zielona Gora, unlucky defeat for Cibona

In the third round of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, Partizan NIS were better than Stelmet Zielona Gora at home in Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall. In the other game of the day, Cibona were defeated at home by Sidigas Avellino.

In the third round of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, Partizan NIS were better than Stelmet Zielona Gora at home in Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall. In the other game of the day, Cibona were defeated at home by Sidigas Avellino.

Partizan NIS have achieved their second win in their third game in the Basketball Champions League Group E, as they have edged out Stelmet Zielona Gora at home in Aleksandar Nikolić Hall. The black and white started the game better than the guests and led by 3 points at half time, but fell behind by 4, as the last quarter went underway. However, Aleksandar Džikić's men have managed to turn the game around yet again in their favour and have celebrated a 58:56 win in the end. Novica Veličković was the top scorer of the Belgrade side with 15 points, while Branislav Ratkovica, Vanja Marinković and Stefan Birčević added 7 each.

In the other game of the day, in Group D, Cibona have fought a tough battle against Italian side Sidigas Avellino and were defeated in the end with the score of 84:83 after an unlucky ending in the exciting finish of the game. Elijah Johnson was the top scorer of the hosts with 22 points. Emir Sulejmanović followed him with 16 on his account.
