Budućnost VOLI sign a 1-year contract with Martins Meiers
The club from Podgorica adds another big man to its 2019/20 roster.

American power forward Hassan Martin was the first signing for Budućnost VOLI this summer, while the second one is Latvian center Martins Meiers! The club from Podgorica announced that it has signed a 1-year deal with Meiers.
This 28-year old Latvian international spent most of his pro career in his home country, where he played for Ventsplis and VEF Riga. In 2017 Meiers moved to UNICS Kazan, while he played the last two seasons in Enisey.
Martins Meiers averaged 11 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in the 2018/19 VTB League, while he recorded even better numbers in the 2018/19 FIBA Champions League – 12.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Meiers je prošle sezone nastupao za ekipu ruskog Jeniseja, i igra na poziciji centra. Meiers je u prošloj sezoni Lige šampiona prosječno bilježio 12.8 poena, 6.7 skokova i 1.2 asistencije, dok je u VTB ligi u prosjeku imao 11 poena i 6.5 skokova po meču.
Meiers je potpisao ugovor na godinu dana.
